Longshore and Harbor Worker injuries fall under the federal jurisdiction of the Longshore and Harbor Workers Act.  Covered Injuries include shipbuilding, and longshore and harbor work.  Injured workers have the right to choose their own physician and lost wage payments may continue indefinitely.  Claims must be filed within one year of the accident unless certain exceptions apply.
